Humpbacks are Here!

Every time we get on the water we want to see the Orcas. There is always a different type of excitement, and a peaceful gratitude when we unexpectedly bump into our other favorite gentle giants.

While on a trip with Maya’s Legacy - Jeff and April, we were absolutely astounded to the number of whales that came up and SO close. We could feel their exhales through he calm water’s glass-like surface.

Ever wonder what these gentle giants think about when they run into us? Well aside from being obnoxiously loud for no reason. They’re probably wondering what the commotion is all about when we can’t even go so fast.

This guy was remaining underwater for just over 7-8 mins every time he’d go for a “long” dive.
